The ratio of compression of an engine
working on the constant volume cycle is 8.6:1. At the beginning of compression
the temperature is 32°C and at the end of heat supply the temperature is 1600°C.
If the index of compression and expansion is 1.4,
find: (a) the temperature at
the end of compression;
(b) the temperature at the end of expansion and
(c) the
air standard efficiency of the cycle.
